Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to fry a sea cocktail? Prepare all the necessary products. When buying a sea cocktail, make sure that there is no imitation of shrimps and crabs - natural seafood tastes better. We will only need juice from lemon, so you can use ready-made lemon juice. if you squeeze the juice out of a lemon, pre-scald it, so the lemon will give more juice. Vegetable oil can also be anything from olive to cotton.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Defrost the sea cocktail, drain all the released liquid. Everyone sells different sea cocktails: mine includes small shrimp, octopus, cuttlefish and squid rings. Some types of sea cocktails also include mussels and squid tentacles.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour lemon juice over the seafood. This will remove the strong fishy smell.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Then pour in the soy sauce. A few words about soy sauce. There are a lot of cheap versions of this sauce on the market now. I advise you to choose soy sauce of natural fermentation. Specifically for this dish, sweet soy sauce will be ideal.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Salt the seafood, leave to marinate for some time from 20 minutes to 1 hour. The liquid will be released again and it also needs to be drained. Also adjust the amount of salt yourself, because you need to take into account that soy sauce is quite salty.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Heat the vegetable oil well in a frying pan, put a sea cocktail. Fry over a sufficiently high heat, stirring constantly. At this stage, you can add your favorite spices and seasonings to the pan. Dill, allspice and fresh crushed garlic are perfect here, which, however, can be replaced with garlic powder. Do not stop stirring, if necessary, then reduce the heat a little so that the seafood does not burn.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Fry until cooked (depending on the characteristics of your stove, the selected pan and the amount of liquid in the seafood, the frying time varies from 5 to 15 minutes). Even if your cocktail contains squid, which cook for 2 minutes, do not reduce the cooking time, squid will not be tough.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Serve the dish hot or cold. It's great to complement such fried seafood with fresh seasonal vegetables or a light vegetable salad.
