The amount of potatoes prescribed by the recipe is washed and cleaned. Then grate on a coarse grater and squeeze out the juice. Season the potato mass with salt and pepper, add cottage cheese, chicken egg and mix everything well. We transfer the resulting mixture into a heated deep frying pan, liberally greased with melted fat. Mix the remaining fat and pork rinds with potatoes and smooth out so that the thickness of the potato layer is about 5 cm. Preheat the oven well and put the contents of the frying pan to bake until golden brown. At this time, we prepare a sauce from a finely chopped onion head, fried together with pieces of bacon, pork rinds and sour cream. The potato casserole in Lithuanian is ready, so that it is easier to remove the casserole from the pan, you can put it on a wet cold napkin for a few minutes.
