Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 50 min
Once a year in Germany, onions become the main hero of the kitchen. At this moment, the young wine ripens, which is usually served with a meal of onions. There are many culinary recipes. And we will try to bake an onion pie from Hesse.
Mix all the ingredients for the dough in a food processor until smooth. Although, you can knead it manually. The main thing is to knead very well. Put the finished dough in a warm place for 30 minutes. When the dough rises, we knead it again and leave it for another half hour.
Peel the onion and cut it into thin slices about 3 mm. If the bulbs are small, then you can cut them into half rings, and large quarters. In the heated oil, we throw the onion and diced bacon, and lightly fry almost for a couple, without bringing it to brown. Add cumin, keep it on fire for a little longer - 1-2 minutes and remove.
Mix eggs, cream and salt. Put a sheet of oiled paper on a baking sheet, and spread the dough on it. We distribute the dough so that it occupies the entire sheet, level the surface and spread the onion and bacon coating evenly on it. Pour a mixture of cream and eggs on top. And bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
