Arise with almonds

Traditional Arabic delicacy made of semolina and coconut chips! Arise is a traditional Arabic delicacy, and it can also be found under the name Basbusa. Once I tasted this yummy, I cooked it for three days in a row... and still didn't get enough!:-) Most of all, I like to consume this food with bitter coffee. But the Arabs eat aris with sweet tea. This sweetness always turns out juicy, porous and does not fall apart. How to cook it. The culinary recipe of this dish is very simple.

First we will combine all dry products: semolina (I like it better when it is large, although it is also delicious with small ones), flour, baking powder or backing powder (which is the same thing), granulated sugar, coconut chips. Mix and pour in the butter and yogurt (it should be natural, that is, without any additives). Yogurt can be replaced with thick kefir. Stir everything and add the beaten egg.
Prepare a baking dish – lubricate its thane (sesame seed oil).
Put the dough into the mold. Stick halves of almonds on top of the mass (you can replace them with peanuts). When the Arise is browned, you can take it out of the oven, this is a sign of readiness.
Pour the hot treat with cold sugar syrup. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into pieces.
Bon appetit!
