Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 d

To make candied apples, we need to take fresh apples, peel and slice them the way you like the most.
Then proceed to the blanched apples. First, put the apples in boiling water for 10 minutes, then very sharply lower them into cold water.
We prepare syrup from the water in which our apples were blanched. To do this, add sugar there.
Let the sugar dissolve in hot water. Pour this syrup over the apples and forget about them for a few hours.
After about 4 hours, put a saucepan with apples on the fire and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
Remove the pan from the heat and leave it for 8 hours. Cook again for a while (6-7 minutes) and again leave for 5 hours. So repeat the procedure several times until the apples become transparent.
You will have to tinker with this process, but believe me the result is worth it. Alternatively, you can reduce the cooling time to 3 hours.
Then we spread the slices on a baking sheet and send them to the oven for drying. We keep our candied fruits in the oven for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees with the door open.
If desired, after the first 10 minutes of drying, sprinkle the candied apples with sugar and then send them back to the oven.
That's it now! Candied apples are ready!
