Cooking method

Cooking time: 40 min

Peel the sweet potato and cut into cubes. Preheat a frying pan with vegetable oil, lay out the sliced sweet potatoes. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and your favorite spices on top.

Fry the sweet potatoes over medium heat until tender. There is no need to cover the pan with a lid. It is important not to mix the sweet potato often, otherwise it, like ordinary potatoes in this case, will simply break. Wait until it is covered with a crust from the bottom, turn it over to the other side. The sweet potato will be ready when the top of the bars will be golden and crispy, and inside they will become soft.

While the sweet potato is frying, prepare the sauce. To do this, grate the cheese finely. Then put a small saucepan on a slow fire, pour flour on the bottom. Keep on the fire, stirring constantly, until the flour becomes a beautiful golden color. Add the melted butter, stir and keep on fire for a minute. Now pour in the cream, do not stop stirring the mixture until it thickens. In the process, add salt and pepper - a pinch at a time. As soon as it has thickened, pour in the grated cheese and keep for another 1-2 minutes, stirring. It is necessary that the mass becomes a homogeneous consistency.

Arrange fried sweet potatoes on serving plates and serve hot with sauce.

Bon appetit!
