Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Pour warm milk into a deep bowl, milk can be used of any fat content. Naturally, the higher the percentage of fat content of milk, the richer the dough will be. Add sugar, salt, soda, pour in vegetable oil, mix.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

It is better to sift wheat flour twice to better saturate it with oxygen, then products from such dough will turn out softer and airy. Pour small portions of flour into a bowl with liquid and knead the dough with a spoon.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

When it becomes difficult to mix the dough with a spoon, spread it on a floured work surface and continue kneading the dough. The dough should not be too steep, but at the same time should not stick to your hands.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

You can immediately proceed to forming pies. I used homemade apple jam from garden apples for the filling. You can use any filling for such pies, and not only sweet: meat, mushrooms, potatoes or cabbage, it will be delicious with jam, jam or fresh fruits and berries.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We divide the dough into small and equal-sized pieces, the amount depends on the desired size of the finished pies. I got 12 pieces.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Roll each piece into a ball, make it flat with the palm of your hand and roll it out with a rolling pin into a not very thin cake.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put the filling in the center of the cake. We fasten the edges of the dough so that the filling does not leak out during frying, form pies, turn them seam down.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Pour vegetable oil into the pan, heat it up. We spread the preheated oil on the pies blanks. Fry each batch of pies over medium heat, for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

So that the filling, especially if it is raw meat, is well fried, after turning the pies, it is better to cover the pan with a lid and continue frying under the lid. We remove the pies from the pan, put them on a paper towel so that the excess oil is drained, then transfer them to a plate for serving. Enjoy your meal!
