Apple pie on kefir in the oven

Delicate apple pie for a family tea party! How many apple pie recipes do I know, but this one is my favorite because it is very easy to prepare. The peculiarity of the pie is a large number of apples and a small dough. Very tasty, tender and fragrant apple pie!

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to bake a pie with apples on kefir? Prepare all the necessary products. For such baking, it is important that all the ingredients are of the same temperature, so take the eggs out of the refrigerator in advance. Take wheat flour, preferably not of the highest, but of the first grade. Or not bleached of the highest grade with a high gluten content. Eggs are large, preferably homemade, at least with. Kefir is best of all fatter, - so the pie will turn out tastier.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Whisk kefir with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. It is not necessary to use a mixer at all, you can take a regular whisk.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add sugar and vanilla sugar. Whisk again with a whisk.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add cinnamon. Cinnamon is an ideal spice for apple pie, but not only cinnamon is suitable here. Therefore, if you are a lover of spicy baking, then you can add ground cloves, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom here. Focus on your taste.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Sift flour into the dough together with baking powder and salt. I advise you not to neglect this process, because thanks to sifting, the finished baking turns out to be very airy and light, so be sure to use a sieve. I also recommend not to pour all the flour specified by the recipe at once. Add it in parts to achieve the desired consistency. It may need less or more than the prescription.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Mix the dough well, it is enough to mix it with a fork. As you can see, the dough turns out to be quite liquid. It should resemble the dough for pancakes or thin sour cream. If you have not poured all the flour, then at this stage, if necessary, add a little more flour.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Cut the apples into slices. Sour and dense varieties of apples are best suited for apple pies, for example, Antonovka, Bogatyr. Such apples keep their shape well when baking and give the cake a light sourness. Cut the apples into thin slices. It is not necessary to peel apples at all, but of course the seed pod must be removed. The ingredients indicate the weight of already sliced apples without seed pods. For thin slicing, use a sharp knife.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Add the sliced apples to the dough.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Mix the dough well with the apples and let it stand for 10 minutes so that each apple slice is soaked with dough.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Grease a heat-resistant pie baking dish with a little oil. Pour the dough with apples.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Bake the pie in a preheated 180-190 degree oven for about 35-40 minutes. It is better to cool the pie before serving. Bon appetit!

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
