Homemade, the best, inexpensive, from ordinary products! Breadcrumbs are a necessary ingredient for cooking chops, cutlets and other dishes that require frying in breadcrumbs. Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make breadcrumbs in a frying pan? Prepare the products. You will only need bakery products from which you will make crackers. Any bread will do: white, black, loaf. The richer the bread base, the more tender and airy the breadcrumbs will turn out. It is better to use fresh bread to make breadcrumbs, but in this way you can also dispose of yesterday's stale bread. I didn't use a sweet loaf.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cut the bread into slices, which, in turn, into small cubes. It is desirable that they are approximately the same size.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Preheat a dry frying pan, put the bread pieces on it. It is better not to add crumbs together with bread cubes, because they will dry out faster and may start burning before the crackers reach the desired condition. Over medium heat, dry the bread until crisp, stirring with a spatula so that it does not burn.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Turn off the heat, let the crackers cool and harden.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Using a coffee grinder or other chopper, grind the crackers into crumbs. The breadcrumbs are ready. It is best to store such crackers in a glass container or a paper bag in a dry place.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

But still, it's better not to store breadcrumbs for a long time, because they lose their taste qualities over time - they can acquire an unpleasant bitterness or get wet. If necessary, make a new batch of fresh breadcrumbs.

Breadcrumbs, if desired, can be easily purchased at any store, thereby saving time on preparing breadcrumbs at home. But the homemade product is not comparable in quality and taste to the factory. As a rule, bakeries send the remaining unclaimed bread to breading, it may no longer be fresh and have an unpleasant smell. In addition, preservatives are often added to factory products that will prevent their spoilage, which, in turn, is not very good for the body. Also, breadcrumbs prepared independently from bread will cost less than those purchased in the store.
