Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 12 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

We prepare the products according to the list.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

We select the freshest strawberries for the recipe. If they are too crumpled, then we will lose some of the juice during cooking, and if they are spoiled, then the jam will not taste very pleasant.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

I wash strawberries under the tap for two minutes and leave them in a colander. Let it get rid of excess moisture there. When the strawberries dry out, we get rid of their tails to put completely peeled, beautiful berries in a saucepan.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We put the berries in a saucepan and cover them with sugar. Half a kilo of sugar is spent on one kilogram. This is the most optimal calculation. We wait a few hours until the berries give up their juices. It is better to leave this matter for the night, and go to bed yourself and start making strawberry jam the next morning. You can then dilute the juice a little with water, but we will not do this.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Put the pan on the fire, bringing the juice to a boil. Starting from the moment of boiling, the jam should be cooked for about five minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

We get rid of the emerging foam. After cooking, let the jam cool completely, which may take quite a long time.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

When finished, pour the jam into jars.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

We seal the filled cans with lids.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Our home supply of goodies has been supplemented with a new treat.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

    Try it!

I have often cooked strawberries in different ways before, but I recently learned from a friend how to cook a five-minute jam from strawberries in this way. This method immediately automatically went to favorites, so I wrote it down in my little book, where I put my favorite recipes in the old-fashioned way, so that, being away from the computer and the Internet, I would not part with them. The jam turns out to be unimaginably and simply fabulously delicious. I must admit, I don't roll all the jam into jars at once, but I always leave enough for a quick meal. We like to eat it just like that with tea, as well as with various hasty pastries: pancakes, pancakes and cheesecakes. Strawberry jam is always in use and in high esteem with us!
