Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 hours
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to bake chicken with potatoes in foil in the oven? First of all, prepare all the products according to the list. Instead of chicken breast, you can use the flesh cut from the thigh or legs, as well as turkey breast. Take the Adjika at home or purchased. Instead of leeks, it is permissible to use ordinary onions, but with leeks, the finished potatoes turn out to taste softer and more tender.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Rinse the chicken breast and dry it with paper napkins to get rid of excess moisture. Cut the fillet into small pieces.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add soy sauce, adjika and your favorite dry spices. I used chicken seasoning and a pinch of ground paprika. There is no need to salt at this stage, soy sauce and adjika are enough to make the meat salty. Mix everything well, cover with a lid or cling film and send it to the refrigerator for an hour to marinate. I sometimes leave it for 15-20 minutes and the breast turns out to be very tasty too.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Peel the potatoes, rinse in clean water and dry. Cut the potatoes into slices.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Chop the leek into thin rings or half rings, send it to the potatoes. Add finely chopped or pressed garlic, salt to taste and a mixture of ground peppers. Mix everything together.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Cover the baking dish with foil so that the edges protrude a little (as in the photo).

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Lay out an even layer of potatoes.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Spread the pickled chicken pieces on top.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Take the second sheet of foil, cover the potatoes with meat with it.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Pinch tightly on all sides. Put the mold in the oven and bake for about an hour at 180 degrees. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Next, remove the top sheet of foil and send the potatoes and meat back to the oven. Leave until the pieces of meat are browned. Usually 10-15 minutes is enough.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Garnish the finished dish with herbs and serve until it cools down.

Bon appetit!

Chicken can be replaced with turkey or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.

If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
