Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients. To make soup, it is better to use beef on the bone, then the soup will turn out more rich, and the taste is saturated. Meat needs to be soaked well, regardless of where it was purchased, in order to remove everything harmful and unnecessary from it.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

We defrost the meat, rinse it with running water, put it in a bowl, pour cold clean water and leave it for at least half an hour so that excess blood comes out. Then we wash the meat again and cut it into portions, you can, of course, boil the meat in a large piece, and then divide the boiled into small ones, but in the first case the soup will cook faster.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the meat in a saucepan, fill with clean water, put on fire. When the water boils, reduce the heat to a minimum and cook the meat for about 40 minutes, periodically removing the foam formed on the surface of the broth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

While the meat is cooking, wash, peel the potatoes, cut them into strips with a knife.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a medium grater. Onions are cleaned from the husk and finely chopped with a knife.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan with a thick bottom, heat it up. Fry onions and carrots in oil over medium heat, stirring with a spatula for about 10 minutes, until the carrots are soft and the onions are transparent. To taste and desire, you can add tomato paste to the vegetables to give the soup a beautiful color and a slight sourness.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Potatoes and vegetable frying are sent to a saucepan with meat. We continue to cook the soup for 15 minutes over medium heat.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

White cabbage is cleaned from the upper dry leaves and finely chopped with a knife.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

We send the cabbage to the pan with the rest of the ingredients. Add salt to taste, pepper and cook the soup for about 15-20 minutes. Then turn off the fire, let the soup stand under the lid for about 15 minutes and serve it to the table. Soup is poured on plates, sprinkle with finely chopped herbs on top, cabbage soup with sour cream and garlic dumplings are delicious. Enjoy your meal!
