Cooking method

Cooking time: 7 h

1. The plums are thoroughly washed under running water, laid out on a horizontal surface and dried. Then we cut each fruit in half and take out the bones. We cut out rotten or unsuitable parts.

2. Take a saucepan of a suitable size with a thick non-stick bottom and transfer the plums cut in half into it. We pour granulated sugar into the dishes and mix the plums with sugar thoroughly, but with careful movements. It is necessary to evenly distribute sugar throughout the fruit and fruit mass.

3. Cover the pan with plums and sugar with a lid and leave it for 5-6 hours in such a state that the fruits let their juice and become softer.

4. After the specified time, the plums will give a lot of juice. We put a saucepan with them on a slow fire, bring the contents to a boil and cook the jam for 20-30 minutes. With a spoon or a slotted spoon, we remove the foam that forms during the boiling process. Constantly stir the plums with sugar so that they do not burn. Then remove the pan from the heat and let the contents cool down a little.

5. Next, in small portions, we transfer the plum from the pan into a large sieve with large holes and grind the fruit part to a homogeneous mass of the consistency of the puree type.

6. The resulting plum puree is returned to the pan. Dark (black) chocolate is broken into small pieces of arbitrary shape and added to a saucepan with plums. Put the pan back on the stove and bring the contents to a boil over low heat. Cook the jam for about 10 minutes from the moment of boiling on low heat, while not forgetting to stir occasionally. Remove the pot of jam from the heat.

6. Thoroughly wash and sterilize the jars and lids in the oven.

7. Then pour the hot jam into the prepared jars and immediately roll up with clean lids. It is recommended to store them in a dark, cool place.

Plum jam with chocolate is ready! It turns out very tasty and is eaten instantly.

Bon appetit!
