Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. The basis of the sauce is mayonnaise, and it must be taken of the highest quality. It is best if it is homemade mayonnaise of your preparation. At least you will know what it consists of. In store-bought mayonnaise, there is a solid harm! In principle, you can replace it with sour cream, but in my opinion, then the sauce will lose its "zest". Cucumbers are suitable both salted - for a classic taste, and pickled - for a sharper one.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Squeeze lemon juice into the mayonnaise. If you squeeze the juice directly from a lemon, be sure to wash it with very hot water - this way the lemon will give more juice. And use a small sieve so that the lemon seeds do not get into the sauce. For ease and speed of preparation, it is also quite possible to use the ready-made lemon juice of factory production.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash and dry the cucumbers. Cut the cucumbers into very small cubes. You can also grate them on a coarse grater, but then be sure to squeeze out the excess liquid.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add sliced cucumbers, mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the mayonnaise. I advise you to take the classic mustard - the usual Russian spicy mustard!

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Add a little salt to the sauce according to your taste. Keep in mind that mayonnaise itself is quite a salty product, and cucumbers also contain a lot of salt. Therefore, perhaps someone will not need salt at all.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pepper the sauce. Pepper can be any sharp ground. I use a mixture of peppers.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Wash the greens well, dry them and chop them finely. If there are no fresh herbs available, then it is quite possible to take dried herbs in the form of powder: tarragon, onion and parsley.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Add the greens to the sauce. According to your taste, you can add some of your favorite herbs: cilantro, dill and basil. In my opinion, a crushed garlic clove is also very much requested here.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

The sauce turns out thick and fragrant. It is perfect for potatoes and other vegetables. Or it can be simply served as a spread on bread. Enjoy your meal!
