  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

First of all we prepare vegetables: potatoes are thoroughly washed and cleaned, peel the onion, rinse it under cold water. After that, both potatoes and onions can be soaked with a paper towel so that there is no excess moisture.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Three potatoes on the prickly side of the grater. This is not critical - you can just rub it on a large grater, or even on a small one. Deruns in the first case will turn out "potato", and in the second - a more homogeneous consistency. You can also chop potatoes using a food processor. After the potato mass needs to be squeezed out of the juice. Three also onions and also squeeze it from the juice. Mix potatoes with onions.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Break the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. Often, whole eggs are placed in the deruns together with proteins. You can do it this way - in this case, one egg is enough. If we put only the yolks, then we need to take two.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add the yolks to the potato mass and mix everything well.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Peel the garlic, pass it through a special press and add it to the rest of the ingredients, stir.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Now pour salt and a small amount of flour. Mix everything thoroughly. We put a large frying pan on the stove, pour vegetable oil into it, warm it up well.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

The oil has heated up - we put the future deruns in the pan. We use a tablespoon for this. Fry the deruns until golden brown, and then turn them over to the other side. Heating is average.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fry the deruns in the other side as well - until browned. We spread the finished deruns on a layer of paper towels so that excess oil is absorbed. We serve the deruns hot with sour cream and herbs. Enjoy your meal!
