In Cuba, locals prefer rum out of all alcoholic beverages. "Havana Club" is the most famous brand of rum. There are 3 varieties of this brand: golden, white and old, which differ in the aging period. The favorite rum of Cubans was the Anejo brand. Cubans make various alcoholic cocktails based on rum. I suggest you try hot rum with clove oil.
I put cloves, a little sugar in a mortar and rub the mass as small as possible. In a deep bowl, I leave the butter to soften at room temperature. Then I beat it until it's fluffy with a mixer. Continuing to beat, I pour cloves with sugar and all the rest of the sugar. Then I pour honey in a thin stream. All further actions should be performed directly in front of the guests, at the table. I pour 40 ml of rum into transparent heat-resistant glasses and add boiling water there in such an amount that 3 cm remains to the edge of the glass. I put a large tablespoon of clove oil in each glass and immediately serve it to the guests.
In addition to cloves, you can also add cardamom, cinnamon or nutmeg to the oil. It will look very impressive if a cinnamon stick is inserted into the rapidly melting oil in a glass, which can then be used for stirring.
