To prepare homemade puffs with poppy seeds, you will need puff yeast dough (purchased or homemade), as well as poppy seeds with sugar (or ready-made poppy filling).
If there is no ready-made poppy filling, then now we will quickly prepare it. To do this, fill the poppy with water, put it on fire, bring to a boil, boil for 5 minutes, the poppy should steam. Then drain the excess water, and chop the poppy with a blender. Add sugar and mix everything together. The filling is ready.
Now let's start forming the layers. Roll out the dough in a thin layer, evenly distribute the poppy seed filling throughout the dough. Roll the dough layer with the filling into a roll and cut into small pieces.
Put each piece of puff pastry on a baking sheet. Put the poppy seed puffs in a preheated oven and bake according to the instructions for the dough (about 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees).
Take out the finished puffs, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
