Immediately put the fish in a saucepan, medium heat. Cook the broth for twenty minutes after the water boils. You can cover it with a lid.

    Foam will form in the pan during cooking. It is better to remove it with a cooking spatula so that the broth is not too cloudy afterwards.

    When the fish is cooked, it must be removed from the broth with a slotted spoon, and the broth itself is filtered through a sieve with small holes. So the broth will get rid of the suspension of a large fraction, and more is unnecessary here, because it is not aspic, but soup. Disassemble the cod into portions and remove all bones, if any. Put the fish aside for now.

    Peel and finely chop the onion. If the onion is poorly cleaned, it can be soaked for five minutes in warm water. The husk will get wet and peel the onion will not be any problems.

I served this light soup with sour cream and fresh herbs. Since the soup is as simple as possible, it will suit small children who can already eat fish. The main thing is to look at the pieces of fish again for the presence of bones.
It's also good that the pieces of cod in this soup are not small, but of a decent size. Everything looks very nice and appetizing together in a plate. There is enough fish, there will be three or four large pieces in a plate, so that everyone will eat, even hungry men.
In order to give the soup a richer taste, carrots and onions can be fried in vegetable oil in advance. But in this case, the soup will increase its calorie content.
