Shawarma at home? It's easy! Prepare for meetings with friends! I think everyone who loves shawarma, but used to eat only the purchased version, should try to cook this delicious dish yourself. It's not difficult at all, but it's definitely tastier and healthier, because you choose the products yourself.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 25 min

Here's what you need to do to cook a delicious shawarma:

1. Season the meat with sea salt, pepper and fry for 5 minutes at maximum grill power. Remove the finished meat from the grill and give it a little rest. And then cut into small pieces.

2. While the meat is resting, prepare the sauce: mix sour cream, tomato sauce, mustard.

3. Divide a large fresh sheet of Armenian lavash into two parts.

4. Put half of the ingredients on both parts of the pita bread in this order:

- first, closer to one side of the lavash, leaving 2-3 cm from the edge and parallel to it, two-thirds of the length, lay out the pieces of meat with a strip;
- anoint the meat with sauce, as well as lightly smear the pita bread with a strip of sauce to the opposite edge with a width of a strip of laid out meat;
- sprinkle the meat with chopped herbs;
- put chopped cabbage on top, grated carrots on it;
- wrap the three edges of the lavash closest to it on top of the filling, and then wrap the lavash around the filling, crushing the wrapped edges inside the shawarma.

At this stage, the shawarma is already ready for use, but it will become even tastier after roasting.

Fry the shawarma on an electric grill at maximum power for about 3-5 minutes until the pita bread crunches slightly.

Bon appetit!
