Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients for making the sauce.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Crush the garlic with the blade of a knife, pressing hard on the clove. Peel each slice from the husk. Next, you can finely chop it if you like garlic. I just fry it, then remove it.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

If you use fresh basil, then rinse it well and dry it. Then chop finely. My frozen basil has already been cut, I just chopped it more with a knife.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Take a frying pan or a saucepan, depending on the amount of sauce you want to get out. But I advise you to take dishes with high sides, the sauce when cooking is very strong "spits". Put the cooking utensils on the fire. Pour oil into it. Put the garlic. fry the garlic for a few minutes. I then removed the fried slices, you can leave. The flavor that garlic gave to the oil during frying is enough for me.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Add tomato paste and water. Mix well until smooth. Boil the sauce for about 3 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Add herbs, salt and pepper. Mix it up. Hold the sauce on the fire for another minute, it will actively gurgle. Stir again. The sauce is ready!

Boil the spaghetti, put them in a colander, let the water drain. Then return them to the pan and pour the sauce on top. stir, arrange on plates and serve immediately. And you can serve the spaghetti separately, and pour the sauce over them already in the plates.
If you cooked the sauce in a frying pan, then add the spaghetti right there.
Since the main ingredient of the sauce is tomato paste, its choice should be approached carefully. It should not contain unnecessary additives, only tomatoes, or tomato juice, or tomato puree.
In addition to garlic, you can add onions to the sauce, it must be pre-cut and then fried like garlic.
Take any greens, just basil, as a representative of Italian cuisine, fits best of all. You can replace fresh herbs with dry seasonings.
This version of the sauce is the simplest, tomato sauce is also prepared with the addition of fresh tomatoes, cream, sour cream, it can be thickened with flour - there are many options!
