As I said, salad with crab sticks is one of those salads that most often appear on our tables. Such a salad is easy to cook, the ingredients for it are always available, and almost everyone loves it, so there are usually no dissatisfied people preparing it for a festive table. But despite this, this salad may not be liked because of the addition of canned corn to it - not everyone likes it. It seems that by eliminating this ingredient, the salad can be spoiled, but it is not. There are actually a lot of substitutes for corn in such a salad.
I suggest an option that is most often at my house - fresh onions and fresh herbs. The salad turns out juicy, fragrant and delicious.
In addition, corn in the salad can be replaced with fresh tomatoes, fresh bell peppers, fresh lettuce or Peking cabbage, hard cheese. Of course, this will be an inferior replacement in taste, but the salad from such a replacement will not get worse, and some may like it much more than the classics.

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.

How to buy crab sticks correctly? Be sure to pay attention to the expiration date of the product. Surimi meat (minced white fish) should appear in the list of ingredients in the first place. Important! Do not buy the product if there is frost on it. This is a sign of repeated freezing. Fresh sticks should be free of gray and yellow spots, elastic and slightly moist. If the product is sticky, it means it is spoiled.

How to cook hard-boiled eggs? So that the eggs do not crack when cooking, put them in cold water and put them to cook on a small fire. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then pour cold water and cool. From a sharp temperature drop, the shell will be better cleaned.
