Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

We heat the water in an iron dish to a temperature of 40 degrees. Pour it into a bowl for kneading dough, add yeast and sugar, mix the mass with a silicone spatula or whisk until the sugar and yeast dissolve.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Add salt and add an egg that can be pre-beaten. Mix until the mass is homogeneous with a fork or whisk.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour in half of the flour, which can be sifted in advance or sift it through a strainer along the way. We begin to knead the dough with a spatula or spoon. A thick mass is formed.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Next, pour in the rest of the flour, mix again and already begin to knead the dough with your hands while still in the bowl.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pour the melted butter and mix it into the dough.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Put the dough on the table and knead well so that all the oil is absorbed. I added a little flour twice so that the dough was not sticky. The kneading time is about 8 minutes. We form a ball.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put the dough in a deep bowl and cover with cling film. I greased the bowl with the remnants of melted butter, but it can also be greased with vegetable oil or lightly sprinkled with flour. We leave the dough for a maximum of 1 hour in a warm place without drafts. It may take less time to rise - it depends on the yeast and on the room temperature.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

As soon as the dough fits well and noticeably increases in volume, immediately start baking.

Due to the fact that we mix butter in the end, the dough will have a soft structure and products made from it will not harden for a long time. If you plan to feed more than six people with a pie, then increase the number of products for the dough, taking into account the proportions. I am sure that this yeast dough recipe will become one of your favorites.
