Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Pay special attention to soy sauce. There are a lot of cheap versions of this sauce in stores now. But do not chase cheap options, choose soy sauce of natural fermentation - this option is much more useful. We will only need juice from lemon, so it is quite possible to use ready-made factory-made lemon juice.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Let's start cooking the marinade. Add vegetable oil to the soy sauce. The oil can be any vegetable: from inexpensive sunflower to elite olive. But since the use of marinades based on soy sauce refers mainly to Chinese dishes, sesame oil will be most appropriate here. Both refined and unrefined oils can be used for marinade.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add lemon juice. If you, like me, will squeeze the juice directly from the lemon, pre-wash it well with very hot water - so the lemon will give much more juice. In addition, I recommend squeezing the juice through a small sieve so that the lemon seeds do not get into the marinade.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add chopped garlic. I passed the peeled garlic clove through the press, but it is quite possible to grate the garlic on a fine grater, or just chop it with a sharp knife. In the absence of fresh garlic, garlic powder can also be used. I'm giving you a basic marinade recipe, but everyone tastes different, so you can optionally add some of your favorite additives to it: ground pepper, paprika, ginger, Provencal herbs.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Mix everything until smooth. The marinade is ready! It is quite versatile, suitable not only for chicken, but also for duck and meat. The time of marinating meat and poultry in this marinade can be from 30 minutes to 1 day. Keep in mind that during the marinating process, meat and poultry may darken a little. Bon appetit!
