Baileys Liqueur at home

Coffee liqueur for cocktail party. The aroma of this liqueur just makes my head spin. And it's also incredibly delicious! You can drink it in its pure form, make layered cocktails with its participation, or even use it to impregnate cake biscuits.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

The preparation of this homemade alcoholic beverage should begin with the selection of a suitable container. I chose a glass from a blender with a measuring scale. So, pour condensed milk into the container.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Next, pour in the required amount of cream with a fat content of 20-30%

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add a shot of freshly brewed, but slightly cooled espresso. If you want a slightly less pronounced taste of coffee, add half a serving.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

It's time to add Irish whiskey to the glass. If you replace whiskey with bourbon, then there won't be much difference.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

The last step is to add half a teaspoon (or maybe a whole spoonful, it won't be worse) of vanilla for flavor.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Using an immersion blender, whisk all the liqueur ingredients to a homogeneous consistency. And it would be better to insist it in the refrigerator overnight, so that all the components combine into a single symphony of flavors and aromas.

Attention! If you want to make this recipe more budget-friendly, you can replace whiskey with vodka or diluted alcohol. But in this case, keep in mind that the taste of the drink will change. Here it directly depends on the alcohol base. The better it is, the better the liquor in the end. Basically, I tried Baileys on good expensive vodka and I liked it.

Cooking this wonderful sweet alcoholic drink at home will be absolutely no difficulty. Personally, I hardly notice the difference with the original. This time I was preparing a liqueur with a more pronounced coffee taste and aroma.
If you cook such a liqueur based on cream with a fat content of 10%, it will still turn out delicious, but the liquor itself will differ in consistency from the original. That is, it will be more liquid. But the calorie content will be reduced.
If you cook with heavy cream, then the liqueur will be more viscous, like the original Irish drink, but then remember about the increase in calories.
Shots based on home Baileys are no less popular with us. I cook them like this. I pour 20-30 ml of bourbon or whiskey into a small vodka glass. And from above I carefully pour in a thin trickle of Baileys so that the liquor first falls on the scoop of a teaspoon, and only then on the layer with whiskey.
I always prepare liqueurs in small quantities for a specific event. But if you pour it into sterilized bottles, then it can be stored in the refrigerator for quite a long time: up to two months.
It would not be superfluous to remind: excessive alcohol consumption negatively affects your health and the health of others.
Have a pleasant tasting!
