Horseradish leaves used in various recipes. The best way to use them, in which the leaves retain their vitamin composition and give useful properties, is to prepare tinctures. No matter how complicated this name may seem, it is very simple to prepare a tincture on horseradish leaves.

Justifying all efforts, it is able to improve appetite when consumed before meals, helps to get rid of joint pain, normalizes blood sugar levels, has a positive effect in the treatment of gout, rheumatism and even cardiovascular diseases.

To get all these healing properties in your kitchen, you need to follow only a few simple steps. We use only fresh horseradish leaves, it is best to collect them in your garden. If this is not possible, we buy the juiciest, elastic ones, which show that they were collected today, and have not been on the counter for several days.

The leaves are washed under running water, dried in the open air to evaporate excess moisture and cut into arbitrary pieces. They should not be too large, the maximum size is 1.5 x 1.5 cm, so that they can let the juice out, but also not clog the contents of the bottle. We remove the rough stalks, they are not used in the horseradish recipe.

My 600-700 ml jar, dry it so that there is not a drop of water left.We put the crushed horseradish leaves in it very tightly, crushing each layer so. Fill up to the very top, let as little free space as possible remain between the leaves.

Fill the contents of the bottle with vodka. You need to do this carefully so as not to overfill, because the liquid can get to the wrong place on tightly packed leaves. We close the lid and put it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for infusing for 6 days.

After the prescribed time, filter the tincture through a sieve to get rid of the leaves. Pour into a clean bottle and store in a cool place until consumed.
