Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a Royal salad with caviar and squid? Boil potatoes in a uniform, peel. Collect the salad in a dish to serve with a cooking ring. Put the potatoes grated on a coarse grater in the first layer. Add salt to taste. Brush the layer with mayonnaise.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Defrost the squid carcasses cleaned of entrails, chitinous rods and skins and boil in boiling salted water for two minutes, no longer. Remove the squid, cool. Chop them into small strips.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Lay out the next layer, smear with mayonnaise.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Next, sweet and sour apple on a coarse grater (do not lubricate it with mayonnaise). And then boiled eggs, grated on a coarse grater, plus mayonnaise.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Put the finely grated sharp cheese on the last layer. Tilsiter is perfect. On the surface of the cheese, draw a thin stream of mayonnaise mesh. Not necessarily according to the ruler, because the irregularities can then be easily masked.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

It remains only to carefully spoon the caviar into the squares formed between the lines. And decorate the salad with dill sprigs.

It was the first time I made such a salad, and I can say that it is very cool! The taste of squid and red caviar is perfectly combined with spicy cheese and sweet and sour apple. I will definitely cook it again.
If your culinary ring does not fit in size for a serving dish, or you simply do not have it, but you want to present a salad beautifully, here is my life hack. Cut off the bottom and neck of an ordinary plastic bottle, freeing the central smooth part. And cut it vertically with scissors. In this way, you will get an equally convenient disposable ring that can be adjusted to a serving dish.
I think that if potatoes were baked in the peel in the oven, the taste would become even more interesting.
If you serve such a salad on a festive table, be sure to sprinkle the apple with lemon juice so that it does not change color and does not lose its presentation. Or just pick a salad just before serving.
I took red sockeye salmon caviar. I think that imitation should not be used here. Your guests will misunderstand you. And the salad is still "Royal"! Bon appetit!

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.

How to cook hard-boiled eggs? So that the eggs do not crack when cooking, put them in cold water and put them to cook on a small fire. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then pour cold water and cool. From a sharp temperature drop, the shell will be better cleaned.
