When there is no time to cook dinner at all, and the whole family needs to be fed, the recipes of the "rescue" come to the rescue. I want to offer you one of them.
Couscous soup is prepared incredibly quickly from a simple set of products, and thanks to bacon, the soup becomes rich and satisfying.

Couscous is wheat groats, resembles round rice in appearance, the diameter of the grains does not exceed 1-2 millimeters.
Bacon can be used either diced or in strips.

So, first of all, prepare all the necessary products. Peel and wash potatoes, onions, carrots and garlic.
Cut the bacon into arbitrary uniform fragments.
Chop onion and carrot into cubes. Cut the potatoes into small cubes, about 1 cm by 1 cm.

You can cook in a frying pan with high edges, or in a saucepan with a thick bottom.
Add vegetable oil to the pan, heat it. Fry the bacon pieces until tender, stirring continuously.
Remove the bacon from the pan with a spoon. Add chopped onions and carrots to the remaining oil, fry on high heat until golden brown, so that it does not burn, you need to constantly stir the frying.
Then send potatoes and couscous to the vegetables. Mix it up.
Fill the pot with water. If desired, you can use chicken or vegetable broth, it will only taste better!
Add salt, bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to medium and cook under a closed lid until the potatoes and cereals are ready. It takes no more than 10 minutes.
At this time, while the soup is cooking, cut the tomato into small pieces. You can pre-peel the tomato by pouring boiling water over it for a short time.
Pass garlic through a press or chop finely. Cut the greens into small pieces. In this recipe, green onions and parsley were used from greens.

After 10 minutes, make the fire to maximum. Put the tomato and garlic in a saucepan. Then add most of the bacon (leave a little for serving) and bay leaf. Mix and taste for salt, add salt if necessary.
Let the soup boil for a few seconds. Add herbs, remove from heat. Under a closed lid, let the soup brew for a while.
Pour the soup into a plate, add a couple of pieces of the remaining bacon and sprinkle with allspice.

Bon appetit!
