Chamomile salad with chips

Such beauty can be served to the dearest guests! On the Internet, oddly enough, there are few recipes for this salad. Maybe this is due to the fact that Chamomile and Sunflower salads are very similar in appearance and design. And one is often passed off as another.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients. To prepare a salad "Chamomile " with chips, we will need: large chicken fillet; pickled mushrooms (you can have any, I have champignons); eggs; cheese; mayonnaise; ground black pepper and salt.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pre-boil chicken breast in salted water. Cool the meat and cut into small pieces.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Drain the liquid from the pickled mushrooms. Dry the champignons and cut into small pieces.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Hard-boil eggs, cool and peel. Finely chop the eggs or grate them on a coarse grater.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Grate cheese on a coarse grater.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

In a salad bowl, combine chicken fillet, pickled mushrooms, eggs and cheese.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Season the salad with salt, pepper, and mayonnaise.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

    Mix well.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put the salad mass on the dish in an even slide.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Decoration. To make the salad look like chamomile, we will need chips (preferably smooth, light-colored, such as Pringles) and canned corn.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Drain the liquid from the canned corn. Dry the grains.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Place the canned corn grains tightly on top of the salad so that there are no empty places.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

On the sides, arrange the salad with chips in two rows, forming chamomile petals. you can put the chips in two rows, so that the chamomile turns out to be a bit more fluffy. Serve immediately. Bon appetit!

I tried to make the salad look like a real chamomile, so I put the chips in two rows. After all, chamomile also usually has 2 rows of petals.
Do not confuse this salad with Sunflower salad. With a similar (and sometimes identical) composition, sunflower salad looks somewhat different - olives are added to it when decorating, which represent seeds.

The chips get soaked quite quickly, especially in the part that is in the salad. Therefore, it is better to make a salad with chips just before serving.
It is not necessary to use canned corn to decorate the yellow part of the flower. You can also decorate with grated yolk from 4 eggs. Use the whites in a salad, and rub the yolks on top of the salad. The only thing is that the yolks should be a rich yellow color. And it is advisable to check this in advance. Because if the yolks are pale and nondescript, it is better to use corn for decoration.
