Compote of cherry plums and zucchini for winter

Original compote with an interesting taste! Surprise your family and guests! It would seem that zucchini and cherry plum are completely incompatible, and put zucchini in compote? Many may be skeptical about the idea. I admit, I was also among them, but once I decided to try to cook such a compote - I no longer knew what to do with cherry plum. The result exceeded all my expectations! Relatives also liked it. Now, among the preparations for the winter, compote from cherry plums and zucchini is necessarily present.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 15 min

1. Wash the squash and cherry plum, dry it.

2. Place the cherry plum in sterilized jars.

3. Cut the zucchini into circles and add to the cherry plum.

4. Sometimes when possible (or desired) I put a sprig of mint - you can do it too. It will add an interesting touch to the taste. But you can do without this step.

5. Fill the contents of the jar with boiling water, close with sterilized lids. Let the banks stand like this for half an hour.

6. Time has passed - drain the liquid from the cans into an enameled saucepan, pour sugar into it and put it on the stove.

7. Bring the syrup to a boil, stirring so that all the sugar crystals dissolve, then cook it for a minute.

8. Pour the syrup back into the jars, roll them up with lids. Let them cool down upside down, wrapped in a blanket.
