When you cook rice on the stove, you need to constantly look after it – first a large fire, then reduce it, cover it with a lid in time, and at the end of the process, make sure that it does not burn, but "reaches the desired condition".

For those who like to cook sushi and rolls at home, I will tell you how to cook rice for sushi in a slow cooker. In total, it is necessary to observe three basic conditions, namely, rinse the rice well, choose the right proportion of water and rice and properly prepare the marinade.

Before cooking rice in a slow cooker for sushi, it is very important to choose the right rice for this. It should be sticky. Most often, round and fine-grained rice or special Japanese sushi rice is taken for sushi, which can be easily found in any supermarket. The main thing is that it forms sushi well.

1. The most important thing is to wash the rice very well (that is, rinse 3-4 times with cold water, rinse it until the water becomes transparent).

2. Drain the water, you can use a strainer.

3. Put the washed rice in the bowl of a pressure cooker.

4. Fill with water.

5. On the multivark-pressure cooker, select the "Rice" mode (I have 9 minutes set automatically, but really 30 minutes are cooked).

6. Cook for 30 minutes.

7. After the end of the program, without opening the lid, let it stand for another 30 minutes.

8. At this time, we make the dressing: stir rice vinegar, salt, sugar, lemon juice, soy sauce until smooth.

9. Allow the cooked rice to cool and add the prepared dressing beforehand.

10. Carefully and carefully mix the rice with the dressing so as not to damage the rice.

11. The rice is ready to use.

The slow cooker will save you from having to keep an eye on the rice. Ideally, you need special rice for sushi, but ordinary round-grained rice is also suitable. From this amount of rice, about 6-7 rolls are obtained.
