Ground jam

Strawberry jam, but without cooking! More useful than usual! Ground strawberry jam is a good alternative to the usual five minutes and other treats from berries that need to be cooked according to the recipe. Maybe you can't call it super useful, given the amount of sugar in the composition, but it is absolutely less harmful than ordinary jam. You can cook ground jam not only from strawberries - almost any berries will do. It should be stored in the refrigerator, despite the fact that the shelf life is long - up to a year.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 h 40 min

For jam, we use ripe berries, which must first be carefully sorted so that spoiled berries do not get into the delicacy. We tear off the strawberry tails, put the berries in a colander, rinse under running water, let excess moisture drain. After that, we spread the strawberries on a clean towel so that it dries a little.

Now we put the berries in a suitable-sized container, after which we grind them with an immersion blender. In the resulting mass, pour the amount of granulated sugar specified in the recipe and mix everything well. We leave the ground jam to stand for several hours so that all the sugar crystals dissolve. In the process, we mix the jam at least every half hour.

Sterilize the jars. You can do this in any convenient way, for example, over steam or in the oven. We also prepare the covers so that they are sterile.

When the sugar has completely melted, we put the jam in sterilized jars, close them tightly with lids. All. The ground jam is ready! We remove the cans to the storage place.

The jam prepared according to this recipe is stored for a long time - right up to the next season, but, as a rule, it ends much faster! Because it turns out to be incredibly delicious. When you open such jam in winter, it seems summer has returned again - such a flavor, color and taste of this delicacy! A prerequisite is cold, so jars of ground jam should be either in the refrigerator or in the cellar.

Successful culinary experiments and delicious preparations!
