Sort red and black currants, wash, dry and turn into a puree using a blender or meat grinder. Combine the jam in one saucepan, add sugar, mix and leave on the kitchen table for several hours until the sugar is completely dissolved, stirring every half hour. When the sugar has completely dissolved, the raw jam is ready. Pack in glass jars or plastic bottles and store in the refrigerator or freezer. The output of the finished jam is 8 liters.
