Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 40 min

1. Sift the flour.
2. Add salt, sugar and soda to the flour. Mix everything well.
3. Pour kefir and vegetable oil into the flour mixture, beat in the eggs and knead the dough. The dough should be soft, obedient, should not stick to your hands.
4. Form a ball from the dough, put it in a bowl, cover with a towel and leave to stand for 30 minutes.

At this time, we will do the filling:

5. Wash and peel the potatoes, peel the onion.
6. Put the potatoes to boil in salted water until tender (about 20 minutes).
7. Melt the butter in a frying pan, put the onion in it, fry until golden brown.
8. Drain the water from the finished potatoes, remember it in mashed potatoes.
9. Add oil with fried onions, salt, pepper, mix everything well.

The filling is ready, the dough is ready too - it's time to cook the pies themselves:

10. Divide the dough into parts (20-24 parts in total), form a ball from each.
11. Roll out each ball into a cake, put the filling in the center, fasten the edges of the cake, forming a pie.
12. In a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil, fry the pies in it on both sides until golden.

Serve the pies to the table hot with soup or broth, or as an independent dish with milk or natural yogurt.

Bon appetit!
