Fried squid with vegetables

An excellent dish for seafood lovers! Fried squid with vegetables is a light, nutritious and dietary food. In fact, the real masters of cooking seafood – including squid – are the Chinese. Have you seen at least one fat Chinese? That's it! In my opinion, this is generally the healthiest nation in the world. Usually, when I serve squid on the table, no one believes that it will be delicious. Well, as they say: "If you don't like cats, you don't know how to cook them." Delicious squid has a couple of secrets that you just need to know. Fortunately, I have a friend who has been working in China for a couple of years. So he got me an excellent, albeit non-standard, culinary recipe for fried squid with vegetables. They say that such squids are most liked by Europeans. It takes me about 20 minutes to prepare them, no more. So I highly recommend trying it.

Buying whole squid is not necessary – I take only fillets, I peel from the film and cut into small strips. Then the squid will fry well and will not become too tough.

But you need to start cooking with vegetables – cut onions into half rings and fry for a couple of minutes over low heat in olive oil. While the onion is being fried, I have time to chop the peppers and zucchini – they need to be poured into a frying pan with onions and also fry for a couple of minutes.

Then add tomatoes, peeled and sliced, to the roast. Add salt to everything. Add the squid already toasted separately.

Pour in the wine, sprinkle with dry spices, add garlic and chopped basil closer to the end of simmering.
