Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Take larger eggs, it is advisable to use homemade eggs - they are not only large, but also usually have a bright orange yolk, which will give the finished omelet a beautiful color. Take natural milk, no matter what percentage of fat content it will have, vegetable milk will also be quite suitable.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the eggs well, but gently. Eggshells contain a lot of bacteria. Carefully beat the eggs into a deep bowl.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Whisk everything with a fork so that the yolk and protein mix well.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour in the milk. Traditionally, it is believed that one egg takes the amount of milk that is placed in the half of the shell of this egg. So you can use an eggshell to measure the amount of milk. Stir the mass well with a fork.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Salt the omelet. I use ordinary sea salt, but salt with different additives will also work. At this stage, you can add various goodies to the omelet mixture that you like. Fresh and dried herbs, onions, garlic will be appropriate here. Or maybe you prefer a more satisfying dish, then add pieces of bacon, chicken, grated cheese and tomato slices. I'm cooking a classic version of an omelet, so I don't have any additives.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Prepare the frying pan in which you will cook the omelet. I use cast iron utensils, but it can also be a frying pan with a ceramic or simple non-stick coating. Grease the frying pan with oil. It can be any vegetable, but it must be refined so as not to burn in a frying pan.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Pour the omelet mass into the pan. Cook over low heat, because the omelet burns very quickly. The cooking time is about 8-10 minutes.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

In order for the omelet to fry well on top and be lush, cover it with a lid and after removing it from the heat leave it covered for another 5 minutes.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Serve the omelet hot. Bon appetit!
