Cottage cheese buns in the oven without yeast

These buns are very tasty with warm milk. Even if you didn't make very neat buns, it doesn't matter. They rise very quickly and spread out in the oven. Since they quickly turn brown, it is better not to go far away from the oven during baking so that the crust does not burn.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make cottage cheese buns without yeast? Prepare all ingredients. Since the dough is cooked quickly, immediately turn on the oven to warm up (temperature 180 degrees). I use the "upper and lower heat" mode, but you focus on the features of your oven.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mix with an immersion blender until smooth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Mix flour with baking powder and sift 2-3 times. Add to the rest of the ingredients. If you are not sure about the properties of flour, then mix not all of it with baking powder, but most of it, leaving about 50 grams of sifted flour without baking powder. Add it last, or do not add it at all, depending on the resulting consistency.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

The dough can be kneaded with your hands or with a mixer with a special dough attachment.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

You should get a fairly thick sticky dough.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

With wet hands, form small buns from the dough, plucking approximately identical pieces from a piece and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment at a distance from each other, as they will increase in size during baking.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven. I bake such buns for about 15 minutes at 180 ° C, the time is approximate. Make sure the buns don't burn!

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Now it's time to decorate the top of the buns. Prepare the milk and sugar.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

As soon as the surface of the buns is browned, remove them from the oven (do not turn off the oven) and quickly brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Milk is absorbed into the surface of the buns very quickly, therefore, in order for the sugar to hold well, everything needs to be done without the slightest delay!

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Put the buns back in the oven for 5 minutes. Ready! Let the buns cool slightly, make tea or pour coffee and call everyone to the table! Enjoy your meal!

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
