Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to bake trout in the oven whole? It is better, of course, to use fresh trout, but if you, like me, have frozen trout, it must first be thawed. It is better to do it in the refrigerator. This way the fish will retain its juiciness and proper structure. I put the fish in the refrigerator and leave it overnight for defrosting. Gut the fish and rinse. Season with salt and pepper inside and out. Do not overdo it with spices so that the trout does not lose its true taste.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cover the bottom of the baking dish with foil and put the fish on it. Pour vegetable oil over it.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Cut lemon into thin slices, garlic into small pieces. Brush the fish with garlic and put lemon slices on it. You can optionally bake your favorite vegetables together with fish.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Wrap trout carcasses tightly in foil. Bake the fish for about 15 minutes at a temperature of 200 ° C. Then unwrap and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown. It may take a little more or less time to navigate by your oven. Sprinkle the finished fish with fresh chopped dill or any other herbs, to your taste. Trout baked whole in the oven is ready, bon appetit!

Trout cooked according to this recipe turns out to be very tasty, juicy and incredibly tender. It can perfectly decorate a festive table, and is suitable for everyday menus. Trout will be good as a separate dish, and can also be combined with various side dishes. Very tasty with a salad of fresh vegetables and baked potatoes. What I liked about this fish is the lack of small bones, which means it can be safely given to children. To make the fish juicy, do not neglect the correct defrosting described in the recipe, and also try not to overdo it in the oven. You can prepare a sauce for fish at your request - tomato sauce or sour cream, garlic and herbs, but you can eat without sauce, in any case it will be delicious!
