String beans for garnish

A versatile and quick side dish for any meat dishes. I served beans with beef meatballs in tomato sauce. It turns out a very harmonious dish. I took whole pods (unfortunately, you can't get them everywhere). From them, the dish turns out not only delicious, but also very beautiful. The side dish can be beautifully decorated in the form of a ring, and put meat or fish inside. On a festive table, such a presentation will look very beautiful. And it will give you the reputation of a hostess who knows how to serve the table beautifully and with a twist.

For cooking string beans (also called asparagus beans or green beans), it is preferable to use young pods. They are more gentle. Overripe string beans take longer to cook, are less juicy and taste tough. It is possible to distinguish overripe beans from young ones by color: young ones have delicate colors (light green, light yellow, etc.) and by the elasticity of the pod.

Before cooking any dish of string beans, it must be boiled. Bean pods are cleaned from twigs, washed well and boiled in salted water. The duration of cooking depends on the ripeness of the beans. Young string beans are cooked for 5-7 minutes, and overripe - 8-10. Readiness can be determined by the appearance and taste. Determining the readiness of string beans by appearance, try not to let it digest. Since in this case the beans lose a number of taste qualities, they become "fibrous".

Boiled string beans are thrown into a colander, let the water drain. Now such beans can be used to prepare a wide variety of healthy, nutritious and delicious dishes.
