Flatbread with cheese and garlic

Why not cook fragrant tortillas for dinner?! A flatbread with cheese and garlic can be served for breakfast or dinner. If it's dinner, you can supplement such tortillas with a salad of fresh vegetables. And if breakfast is a cup of fragrant coffee. Flour may need a little more or less. It all depends on kefir: it can be thicker and greasier or vice versa - liquid. It is clear that liquid kefir will take more flour. And the flour itself can be of different quality. Therefore, here you already need to focus on the dough - it should be plastic and not stick to your hands.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 40 min

1. Mix salt and sugar in a small container, for example in a glass.

2. Sift the flour into a bowl in which we will knead the dough. Pour a mixture of salt and sugar here.

3. Pour kefir into a bowl, pour soda to it, mix.

4. Break the egg into a separate container, shake it with a fork until smooth.

5. Combine the egg with kefir, mix. Then pour the mixture of liquid ingredients to the dry ones.

6. Knead the dough. First in a bowl, and then spread on the work surface and knead for some more time. The dough should turn out soft, plastic.

7. Put the dough in a bag and leave for half an hour. It can be packed in plastic wrap, no difference. The main thing is that the dough does not chafe and does not dry out.

8. In the meantime, we will prepare the filling. To do this, grate the cheese on a grater. Green onions and dill are washed, cut with a knife finely. Peel the garlic, pass it through the press.

9. We put the cheese in a bowl, we also send the greens here: onion and dill, as well as crushed garlic. Mix it up.

10. After the specified time, the dough is divided into 6 equal parts. We roll out each part into a flat cake. At the same time, we sprinkle the work surface with flour.

11. And now we put two tablespoons of filling in the center of the tortilla. We lift the edges of the dough, collect it in a bag.

12. With the assembled edge, turn the cake down, and gently roll it out with a rolling pin, so as not to damage the integrity of the dough. In the same way, we form all the cakes.

13. Fry the tortillas alternately in a hot dry frying pan without adding oil. Fry on both sides until browned.

14. We lubricate the finished tortillas with butter while they are still hot. We put a stack on top of each other.

It turned out delicious, help yourself!
