Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make Japanese dorayaki pancakes? Prepare the products. Remove the eggs from the refrigerator in advance or put them in warm water for a few minutes — the pancakes will turn out more magnificent. Honey is better suited to liquid, if you have thick or candied, then pre-melt it in the microwave or in a water bath. For the interlayer, I used boiled condensed milk.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the eggs well and put them in a bowl. Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush. Pour sugar into the eggs and whisk everything together with a whisk. Add honey and mix the egg mass well again.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour in room temperature water, stir.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Sift the flour and baking powder — this will not only remove possible debris, but also saturate the flour with oxygen, which will make the pancakes even more magnificent.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Stir in the flour until smooth. Be prepared for the fact that flour may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. The dough should turn out like thick, but flowing sour cream.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Preheat a frying pan over high heat, preferably non-stick. Lubricate it with a drop of odorless vegetable oil. You will need oil only before the first pancake, you do not need to lubricate any more. Carefully lay out the dough, forming a round pancake. The size of Japanese pancakes may be different, but more often they are fried small.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Make the fire medium. Fry the pancake until browned on one side, then turn it over on the other. In general, it is more convenient to fry several pancakes at once, and then I did so.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Fold the finished pancakes in pairs, smearing them with boiled condensed milk. Traditionally, sweet bean paste is used as a filling. Chocolate paste, jam, ordinary condensed milk are also suitable.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Serve dorayaki to the table. Enjoy your meal!

The pancakes turned out incredibly lush! They are delicious without condensed milk. And with it they become a dessert, like a cake. This recipe is for real sweet tooth, adjust the amount of sugar to your liking.

Choose high-quality, proven condensed milk. Without vegetable fats and food additives. The composition should contain only two ingredients: milk and sugar. As a result, the taste and quality of the finished dish will depend on the quality of condensed milk.

Important! An incorrectly selected frying pan can ruin even the best recipe. All the details on how to choose the perfect frying pan for different dishes read here .
