Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. Carrots are better to take young and juicy, then the salad will turn out more delicious, juicy and tender. The set of spices can be changed or reduced/increased to your liking.
Step 2:
Carrots are washed, cleaned, grated. It is necessary to take a special grater for Korean carrots so that it is a beautiful even straw. If the salad needs to be prepared in large quantities, then working with a manual grater will be long and time-consuming. In this case, you can use a food processor with a special attachment for Korean carrots. Put the grated carrots in a deep bowl, add sugar and salt, mix.
Step 3:
Peel the onion and cut it into cubes with a knife. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. We put chopped onions on it. Fry the onion until browned. Remove the pan from the fire. Remove the onion from the oil, and pour the oil into a bowl. We also add soy sauce, ground red pepper, garlic passed through a press, ground coriander, sweet paprika and vinegar. Mix the mixture well so that the spices combine.
Step 4:
In a bowl with carrots, the juice will stand out, you need to drain it so that it does not dilute the taste of spices, and the salad is not watery. Pour grated carrots with dressing. Mix the salad well and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. The salad can be served to the table. However, the longer the carrot stays in the refrigerator, the richer and brighter its taste will be, so ideally it is better to leave this snack soaked in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 5:
The aroma of spices from the salad is very strong, so it is better to close the salad bowl with a lid so that other products in the refrigerator are not saturated with this smell. Bon appetit!
