For some reason I don't like sauerkraut in the form in which it is, but I really like to cook some hot dish from it.
I strongly advise you to cook sauerkraut in the oven with mushrooms and sauce according to this recipe.
Since childhood I like the taste combination of cabbage with mushrooms, so I really like to cook this dish. In addition, cooking takes very little time.
Dried mushrooms are washed and filled with water so that they swell.
In the same liquid, boil the already swollen mushrooms.
Take out the boiled mushrooms and cut into small pieces.
Squeeze sauerkraut from the juice, put it in a container suitable for baking, and pour mushroom broth.
Cut the peeled onion into half rings.
Peel the washed carrots and cut into halves of circles.
Fry onions, carrots and chopped mushrooms in vegetable oil in a frying pan.
Add the mixture to the container with cabbage. We also send spices and salt there.
Place the container with the total mass in a preheated oven to 150 degrees and keep it there until the cabbage becomes soft.
To serve the dish on the table, prepare the Bechamel sauce.
To do this, mix butter and flour. Stir thoroughly, add milk, spices and salt.
Pour the prepared sauce over the cabbage and keep it in the oven for another quarter of an hour.
The dish is served hot on the table.
