Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Here are all the ingredients that will be required for this dish

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Peel, wash and finely chop the onion

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Any ham is suitable for this recipe: boiled, chopped in the form of sausage or, as I have, boiled and smoked. In my opinion, a dish with smoked ham is much more flavorful. But here everything depends, of course, on your taste preferences

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Hard cheese three on a coarse grater. Any cheese will do: Russian, Dutch, poshekhonsky, parmesan, marble - the one that you have in stock at the moment. We put half of the cheese at once, and leave the other half for sprinkling the top

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We put ham, half of grated cheese and chopped onion in one dish, add sour cream and mayonnaise (you can basically take one thing, but I personally like sour cream with mayonnaise in combination, it turns out not as fat as just with mayonnaise and not as bland as just with sour cream)

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

    Mix well

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Peel the potatoes, rinse well under running water and cut them arbitrarily: with circles or straws as you like. I cut it into large slices today

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Sliced potatoes spread out a baking dish, greased with vegetable oil

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Salt, pepper, sprinkle with Provencal herbs or any spices to taste - paprika or ready-made seasoning for potatoes is perfect here

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Spread a mixture of ham with cheese, onion, sour cream and mayonnaise on top of the potatoes. We send it to a preheated 180 degree oven for 30 minutes

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Our potatoes are almost ready by this time, the last touch remains - sprinkle the top with grated cheese and send it to the oven at the same temperature for another 10 minutes

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Potatoes with ham and cheese are ready! The aroma in the kitchen is simply magnificent - I'm sure your family does not need to be invited to the table, they are already looking forward to dinner!

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

We serve with fervor from the heat. Bon appetit!
