Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

To prepare lavash with cottage cheese, we will need the following products: one large sheet of thin Armenian lavash, cottage cheese (I have 5%), bell pepper (I had frozen), dill or parsley, a couple of garlic cloves, salt and pepper.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Let's start with the preparation of the filling. To do this, take cottage cheese 4-9% fat content. Let's mash the cottage cheese with melted cheese well with a fork. Squeeze a clove (or a couple of cloves) of garlic into the resulting mass using a special press.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Dill greens are thoroughly washed under running water and dried on a paper towel. Then finely chop the greens with a knife.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add the chopped greens to the curd mixture, and mix until smooth. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a spoonful of sour cream to it.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We spread a sheet of lavash on the table. We apply a thin layer of cottage cheese mass with greens on it.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Wash the red bell pepper, remove the seeds and cut into small cubes. The snack will look very nice if you use Bulgarian pepper of different colors (traffic light). We put pepper cubes on top of the pita bread with cottage cheese.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Roll the pita bread with cottage cheese and pepper into a tight roll.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Transfer the pita bread roll into a greased baking dish and lubricate the surface with egg, after stirring it in a cup with a fork.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Sprinkle the pita bread roll with sesame seeds on top and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for about a quarter of an hour.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Let the pita bread cool down a little, then cut into pieces with a sharp knife. Serve as a snack in warm or cold form.

Thin pita bread is an ideal base for snack rolls and sandwiches, in which you can wrap anything. You can make a quick dessert out of it.
In addition, lavash does not lose its taste properties for a long time — it can be stored dried for up to six months. And so that fresh pita bread does not bloom — keep it in the refrigerator.

Bon appetit!
