Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making cookies. Take flour of the highest grade, sour cream with a fat content of at least 15%. Condensed milk is better to buy already boiled. When choosing it, read carefully so that it is condensed milk with sugar without unnecessary additives that will spoil the taste. Personally, I use margarine more often for making cookies. With creamy good margarine, cookies turn out to be more crumbly, besides it is cheaper.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Melt the margarine. This can be done in the microwave in the appropriate mode, over low heat in a saucepan or in a water bath. To melt margarine in a water bath, take two containers of different diameters. Pour water into the larger one, put the smaller one on top so that its bottom drops into the water by half. Put the pieces of margarine in it. When the water boils, it will start to melt. When it is completely melted, remove from the heat. Cool completely.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Take a deep bowl in which it will be convenient to mix dry and liquid ingredients. Wash the egg with soap, dry it with a towel or napkin and break it into a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar, salt and whisk with a fork or whisk. It is not necessary to beat until the foam appears. Adding salt improves the taste of cookies and simplifies the process of beating eggs. The remaining spoonful of sugar will be useful to you when you form cookies.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add sour cream, soda extinguished with vinegar and mix well until smooth.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pour in the margarine and mix thoroughly. Margarine must necessarily cool down, otherwise the egg will bake and the dough will be spoiled.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Sift the flour to sift out small debris and the dough is saturated with oxygen. Since flour even of the same grade, but from different manufacturers, differs in properties, the amount of flour specified in the recipe may not be enough, or vice versa, there may be a lot.Add it in small portions to get the dough of the desired consistency. When it's hard to knead with a spoon, start doing it with your hands. The dough should become soft, very tender, but not stick to your hands.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Turn on the oven to preheat 180 degrees. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Roll out each part into a round layer 3-4 mm thick and cut into 8 parts. Put about 1/3 teaspoon of boiled condensed milk on the edge of each dough sector. Twist the dough in the form of a bagel and dip the top in sugar, while pressing a little on top of the cookies so that the condensed milk is "sealed" and does not leak out during baking.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put the finished livers on a large baking sheet covered with parchment. Bake on the middle shelf of a preheated oven on the top-bottom mode for 30-40 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. The cooking time depends on the capabilities of your oven. Check the readiness of the cookies by appearance, it should be slightly browned.

You can serve cookies warm or chilled. Sweet and crunchy, it is very popular with both children and adults. Cookies do not lose their taste and are perfectly stored for several days, so you can make a lot of them at once.
