In fact, the result of cooking potatoes with ham according to this recipe will be a casserole and thanks to its creamy delicate taste, you will surely like it very much.
I cook it quite often for lunch on weekends.
Washed potatoes are boiled in the peel for about 20 minutes in lightly salted water.
Cut the peeled onion very finely.
In a suitable container, heat the butter, and then simmer the chopped onion with cumin in it for about ten minutes.
Add cream and knead the onion to a puree state.
Add pepper and salt to your taste.
Drain the water from the potatoes, peel and cut into circles of small thickness.
In a baking dish, greased with oil, spread the potatoes, lightly sprinkling with pepper and salt.
Spread the diced pieces of ham on top of the potatoes and pour the creamy onion mixture.
Sprinkle the dish with grated cheese on top.
Bake potatoes with ham for at least half an hour in the oven, heated to a temperature of 200 degrees, until the cheese completely melts and a golden crust forms.
The finished dish is served hot on the dining table.
