Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a fruit pie? Prepare all the products according to the list. Now take the ingredients for the dough: it is better to keep the butter in the refrigerator before mixing, it should be cold; cottage cheese is better to take at least 5-9% fat content, it is softer and mixes better.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

In the bowl of a blender, mix the sifted flour and powdered sugar. Add cold butter and grind into crumbs.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add cottage cheese to the butter crumbs and mix everything again. If the moisture from the cottage cheese is not enough and the dough is not going into a lump, add 1-2 tablespoons of cold water (you need to add it in small portions so as not to overdo it with moisture).

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We should get a wet crumb, which can then be collected into a lump.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We collect the finished dough into a ball, wrap the ball in a film and send it to the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

While the dough freezes, prepare the filling. Take plums, starch, cinnamon and powdered sugar. Depending on the acid of the plums, we take more or less powdered sugar.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Wash the plums, dry them, remove the stone and divide into 4-6 parts, depending on the size and your desire.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator, put it on baking paper or silicone sheet and roll it into a layer 3-4 mm thick. Sprinkle the dough with an even layer of starch, not reaching the edges of 3-4 centimeters. The second option: starch can not be poured onto the dough layer, but mixed with starch pieces of plums. But I like it better when the starch is distributed over the dough, and a layer of plums is placed on top of it.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Now put the plum slices on the starch layer, also not reaching the edge of 3-4 cm.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Sprinkle cinnamon and powdered sugar on top of the plums. Tuck the edges of the dough over the filling, as in the photo. Bake in a preheated 180 C oven for about 25-30 minutes until cooked.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Take the pie out of the oven and let it cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve. Enjoy your meal!

I chose plums for the fruit pie, but according to this recipe, you can bake a pie with any fruit, either individually or by mixing different types of fruit with each other. you can also add berries. My favorite combinations for filling: apple with plum, sweet apples with cranberries, pear with peach or apricot. Try different combinations and each time you will have a new pie!

So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
