Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients according to the list. The dough for apple pies is used differently: yeast, puff, shortbread or liquid. An open pie with apples on a sand base, in my opinion, is the most successful. In a bowl, put the softened butter, sour cream, add sugar, mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour in the sifted wheat flour, combined and mixed with baking powder, add a pinch of vanilla. We knead the dough, it is impossible to knead the shortbread dough for a long time, so that it does not become tight, and the products from it are hard.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

It should turn out a little sticky and soft. We put it on the work surface, dusted with flour and cover it with a bowl on top, let it rest. In the meantime, let's do the filling for the pie.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Apples for such a pie can be used any to taste, this is a great way to use garden apples that have lost their marketable appearance or received minor damage. Apples are washed, cleaned and cut out the core with seeds, the pulp is cut into slices. To prevent the apples from darkening, they can be sprinkled with lemon juice, but its excess can make the filling in the pie sour.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Roll out the dough on a floured table in an even circle according to the size of the mold with a small margin on the sides. We put the dough in a baking dish, greased with oil.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Lay out the apple slices on top, tightly to each other, placing them vertically.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and sugar. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the pie for about 30 minutes, depending on the operation of the oven, the size of the shape and the volume of the pie. To prevent the apples from starting to burn before the dough base is baked, you can immediately cover the pie form with foil, remove the foil after 15-20 minutes and let the pie bake and brown on top.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

We take the pie out of the oven, remove it to a serving dish. Let it cool down a little, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve to the table, with tea, coffee or milk. Have a nice tea party!
