Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h 15 min

First of all, turn on the oven to warm up to 180 degrees Celsius. We prepare a baking dish - 20-25 cm in diameter, at least 5 cm deep, with a volume of at least 1.5 liters.

Peel the onion and garlic. Finely chop the onion or cut into thin circles - to your own taste. Garlic is also thinly cut into plates. Finely chop fresh marjoram. The fish is washed, dried and cut into pieces. For this dish, you need to use pollock fillets.

Washing and peeling potatoes. It is best to choose medium-sized root vegetables, ideally if the potatoes are young. Next, cut the potatoes into thin circles / plates (2-3 mm thick).

In a large bowl (glass or stainless steel saucepan), put the sliced potatoes, as well as the prepared onion and garlic, chopped marjoram. Sprinkle everything with salt and pepper and mix well. Sour cream is heated over low heat to a warm state, after which we pour it on the potatoes, mix everything well again.

Half of the potatoes are placed on the bottom of the mold, then we put pieces of fish on it, then the remaining potatoes. Pour out the remains of sour cream from the bowl in which the potatoes were. Decorate the top with fresh marjoram sprigs. This will make the dish beautiful.

Put the forum in the oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. In the process of cooking, you need to press the potatoes several times on top with a spatula. It may take a little more or less time - the potatoes should become soft and tender, and the top layer golden and beautiful. Turn off the oven and leave the dish in it for 20-30 minutes, after which you can serve it on the table.

Bon appetit!
