Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Let's prepare the ingredients for the bulk cake according to the list. The jam should not be too liquid so that the dough does not get wet. Instead of jam, you can take cottage cheese filling, jam or filling from fresh berries and fruits if desired. You can immediately turn on the oven to warm up at 180 degrees, the dough is prepared very quickly. Put the softened butter in a deep bowl.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Margarine can be used instead of butter, it is a cheaper product, but less useful. If there is no time to wait for the butter to soften at room temperature, then you can melt it a little in the microwave, putting it on for 15 seconds. Chop the butter into pieces with a knife. Add a pinch of salt and half a teaspoon of baking powder. Those who like sweeter pastries can add sugar. Pour in the sifted wheat flour.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

It is better to knead the dough immediately with your hands, grinding butter with flour into crumbs. The crumb should be slightly moist and uniform in size. If there is a desire and time allows, then butter can, on the contrary, be frozen in the freezer, and grate it on a grater, then the crumb will turn out to be large and the same size.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We pour two-thirds of the flour crumbs into the baking dish, form low sides of the dough along the edges of the mold so that the filling does not flow out of the dough during baking. The mold can not be lubricated, the cake will not stick to its bottom. The height of the cake affects the baking time of the cake.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We spread the prepared filling on the dough, evenly distribute it over the entire surface of the sand crumbs. The filling should not be too liquid so that the dough is baked, and not too thick, since the shortbread dough is quite dry.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Sprinkle the filling with the remains of sand crumbs on top. We send the cake form to the oven for 20 minutes. But the baking time depends on the size and height of the pie, the filling and, of course, the operation of the oven. The pie should be slightly browned on top, it does not need to be over-dried, otherwise it will be dry and not tasty.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Take the pie out of the oven, let it cool, cut into pieces and serve to the table. Have a nice tea party!
